Here’s another use for toothpaste:
There’s no need to buy a new can of Spackle just to fill two or three nail holes in a wall before painting. An old-time solution is to spread a dab of non-gel toothpaste into each hole. The toothpaste hardens like Spackle and holds a coat of paint just fine.
