Ear Wax
My son has my grandfather’s ears or at least he has his grandfather’s ear wax problems. I know, I know, it’s not one of those topics that you would openly discuss with people but this is Mother Mayberry and a little helpful advice goes along way. Here’s some tips, tricks, things you can do to remedy annoying ear wax problems.
The first one is a little gadget called Ototek Loop it’s basically a q-tip like device that allows you to safely get some of the wax out of your ears. My daughter discovered this little gem and my son has been using it eversince. He swears by this as the ultimate way to just keep your ears relatively wax free. I’m not so sure about that, but then again he’s the one with the ear wax problems, not I.
Another tip would be to use garlic oil, tilt your head, drop a few drops in, let it sit for awhile and then you’ll notice that wax will eventually work its way out naturally. I will say this particularly useful as the garlic oil really does help if your ear has a mild infection as well. The only downside of this is your head smells like a garlic knot. Well, that’s not the worst thing and you’ll keep the vampires away. Mineral Oil works very similar, especially if you like vampires and don’t want to scare them off.
Those amish candle ear wax things, well, they do work, but my son says be wary of them. The one time he used them he said his ear felt uncomfortably dry and also ringing a little. Did it get the ear wax out, yes it did, but he opted for other means…just didn’t feel comfortable to him.
So, there’s some basic Ear Wax removal tips…also…don’t use a q-tip…you’ll just impact the wax and make the situation a whole lot worst.
