Eyestrain

In the computer age, eyestrain is an everyday occurence. Whatever work you do it is important to close the eyes every now and then for an instant to alleviate eyestrain. Also, let them wander to a distance too, at intervals. Here also, are some eye exercises to help prevent eye aches and eyestrain: Keep your head still and move only your eyes up and down, 10 to 15 times. Close your eyes for about the time needed to inhale and exhale a deep, relaxing breath. Open your eyes and repeat the exercise, but move your eyes from side to side instead of up and down. Close your eyes and take a breath again. Open your eyes and repeat the exercise on the diagonal, moving first upper left to lower right, then the reverse. Close your eyes and take a breath. Finally, after opening your eyes, put your arm straight out in front of you, thumb up. Focus first on your thumb and then at a distance beyond your thumb. Repeat several times.
